GOD’S IDEA OF VISION

“What does it mean to be a warrior for God?”

“What do we need to do in order to become warriors for God?”

2018 MINISTRY OBJECTIVES (VISION)

*To become a unified church.

*To become more of an evangelistic and outreach focused church.

*To become a church or prayer and worship.

“Methods are many, principles are few; methods always change, but principles never do.”

“Why isn’t prayer more important to many Christians?”

Many Christians only pray when they think they can’t figure out their own problem or meet their own need.

Many Christians have significant doubt that their prayers will be answered.

II Chronicles 7:14-16

14 If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. 16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. (ESV)

Isaiah 56:7

…Mine house shall be called a house of prayer for all people. (KJV)

The Hebrew word for house is “bayith”.

Definition: a home (and abode or dwelling), a temple; a family.

John 15:7-11

7 If you abide (to stay, to live, to lodge) in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.

11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. (ESV)

“God’s grace is like a locomotive and He wants to see it come from heaven to earth, but unless people pray, there are no tracks for it to run on.”                            Watchman Nee

John 5:19

19 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.

25 “Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead (this verse, in context, is referring to those who are spiritually dead) will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.” (ESV)

John 8:26-28

26 I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.

27 They did not understand that he had been speaking to them about the Father.

28 So Jesus said to them (the Pharisees) “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me.” (ESV)

Jeremiah 29:11-13

11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.

13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. (ESV)

Psalm 17:6

I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words. (ESV)

I John 5:14-15

14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. (ESV)
